VACATION

ALL of the Hills(Clalks family and kids, Grandparents, and one uncle) went to California to KnottsBerry Farms and then on a cruise to Ensenada Mexico the end of Feb. for a vacation! It was a BLAST! All 21 of us had a WONDERFUL time!

Lily had RSV and an ear infection when we got home! To much fun and not enough rest I guess!

Painter slept in the stroller for 3 hours he was so tired but it made getting through the airport and sitting around easy!

The night before the trip was spent in the ER with Painter. He woke up and his tongue was swollen again really big so we took him in at 2am. They had a SUPER hard time finding a vein so that they could get the iv going so after three different trys (his elbow and both hands) they finally got it in, sort of, so that it would work. They got the meds going and it kicked in and started to help out! Luckily, poor kid! His tongue was swollen and sore for the first 4-5 days of the trip and then it went down! He was a trooper though and barely ever complained! Me and Painter went out sick and Clark and Lily came home sick, but it was such a fun time that I did not really care!

He is trying to smile and be happy in the picture but he really didn't like the band-aids, he links them to the needles. He still tells me "Mom I dont need a shot anymore!"

Well it has been a while! So sorry... well not really! Its been a fun, busy, crazy, wonderful last few months! We made it through Thanksgiving and Christmas, and are still awake to talk about it!

Jenny(my sister) took some family pictures for us and we LOVE them!

She has two teeth on top(the ones next to the middle ones) and the two middle on the bottom! She is going to have a FUN smile for a while!

Painter is being potty trained and has been for a while...NIGHTMARE! Some day he will not be so stubborn and it will click! His tongue is looking OK, other than the bumps are already back. We have him in speech therapy, even thought he is a wonderful little talker he compensates with his tongue in the wrong spot, so we are teaching him to say things with it in the right spot! He is one SMART little man!

Clark went to Mesquite with the boys already this winter and had a BLAST!

And I just doing the mom thing, teaching piano and doing hair!

This is the wagon that he LOVED, We took him all over the hospital in it and the minute we would come back in the room he would wake up and cry! He did not like his room, but I think he associated it with pain.

I finally went and got some elastics small enough and put Lily's hair in Piggy's! 2 months old!

Paints tongue got infected again! We go to Primarys on the 31st to get his surgery done and hopefully it will cut down the amount of 'infections' he gets!

Painter got a big boy bed! He did really good and first and now he likes to come in at night and say "Hi dad, chocolate milk!?" Not so cute at 3 in the morning!

Lily Mae Hill...
We went into the hospital at 8ish on June 17th and they started me on PIT, and I was at a 3. My midwife broke my water at 12:30 and I was at a 3, then at 1:30 I FINALLY got my epidural, and I felt like i needed to push and I was at a 7, then about ten minute later I said I really am feeling pressure and I was at a 9, they called my midwife back she got there about 2:45- 3:00 and I had Lily at 3:13! She was 7Lbs 4oz and was 19 inches long! I pushed for maybe 10 minutes! It was wonderful! She was posterior, which made my hips go all wacky after and it bruised her face alittle but other than that it was great! She is such a GOOD BABY! She wakes up one to two times a night and only fusses when she is hungry or has a bubble in her belly! We are lucky to have her and Painter is finally getting use to the thought of someone stealing his thunder! She was one month old yesterday and we have LOVED every minute!

Right after she was born they put her in my gown with me and I held and nursed her for about an hour and then they took and bathed her! That was a great experience!

Good News

So I had one of my doctor appointments today. In talking to my midwife she said it was up to me if I would like to be checked today or not. I said sure, nothing is probably going on but why not! So she checked me and good news I am dilated to a 3 and 70% effaced, which totally surprised me! We scheduled me to be started on the 17, and if I decide not to I can just cancel it, but I must say it is nice to see an end in sight! So now the real fun begins, acupressure, walking at high rates of speed for a prego women, heavy cleaning, making bread(kneading it works for some), and all those other things to help get me going! Sure I could sit at a 3 for the next 18 days or I could go in the next few day!~An answer to prayer!~ Either way it was a good day at the doctor to know that we are moving in a direction! It does explain the 3-4 hours of "contractions/ braxton hicks" I have been having every morning for the last while! All I can say is I am SUPER HAPPY!

Anyone up for an Update?

Reeds cows are having babies and Painter thinks it is the funnest thing ever! This was the first baby of the year and Painter thinks its his!

Favorite pass time at Grama Nichols... walk around with a bowl or Amber's laundry basket on his head!

So we don't get that many visitors here in Chester, so Mr. and Mrs. Robin decided to build a nest on the front door decor!

Some one turned TWO! I cant believe that I have a 2 year old! It was a fun day, we had family and friends over for a BBQ and cake! It was super fun and its nice to have family close by!

So as many may know I have a REALLY BIG weakness for purses (and shoes)!! I am really picky though, it has to have enough pockets and compartments and zippers! Well lately I have been into this whole ebay thing lately, not such a good thing! Well I found this purse on there that I have wanted for FOREVER (that is if a few weeks counts as forever)! Its has enough pockets and compartments plus you can snap these buttons together and it has a completely different look! SWEET two in one! Well needless to say Clark does not have to get me a mothers day gift! So Happy Mothers Day to me a little early! :)

So here is a quick review of this last while! While Clark was gone to Moab I stayed up late cause I couldnt sleep and I made lots of hair clips! Super cute and fun to do!

We celebrated Clarks birthday after the fact! All the family was there, fun to get together and see them all!

Happy Birthday to my Amazing husband! He is in Moab jeeping this weekend so I get to celebrate his birthday over the phone with him! I just wanted to say what an amazing man he is! No matter what is thrown his way he ALWAYS has a smile on his face, I tease him that he needs to have more emotion and show it but he always tells me " whats wrong with always being happy and content!" That is a great attitude! He is a very hard worker and often Painter doesn't get to see him because Clark is up and gone and then when he finally gets home Painter is in bed! He is loving and caring and always is concerned for others! He has taught me a lot about life, what is important and what I should just blow off! I love that he has a great sense of humor and that he loves to go and have fun! Just want to say...

So I have been looking for a CHEAP crib set that was kinda cute and I ran across this one. It normally retails for $170 and I won it on ebay for $50!! That is super sweet to me! Its a 13 piece crib set and I like that it is brown and pink! I also won two freakin cute diaper bags on accident! I only wanted one but I ended up with two, same story there though, super cheap! I love that you can name your price on ebay and go as high as you want or just be done with the item! So happy shopping to me!

So here we go.. For those of you who have been wondering what is going on with Painter. Here is the readers digest version!
When he was born he had a bigger tongue and also a "birth mark/ hemangioma" on his lip. Well we have been going to doctors for quite some time now trying to figure out what is is exactly. Well on Feb. 4Th we went and saw Dr. Rope down at Primary Children's. He is an amazing doctor, after sitting on the floor and playing with Painter he told us what direction we needed to go. So yesterday Feb. 24 we went and saw Dr. Grimmer who is a otolayngologist... Ear nose and throat specialist. He told us that Painter does not have a Hemangioma but that it is a Venous Malformation on his lip which in short, when he was born the veins in his lip malformed and caused that. The only treatment is when he is older we can have it lazered to remove the color maybe but nothing else really. His tongue is a Lymphatic Malformation, which is the same that when he was born the lymph vessels in his body malformed in his lip and cause it to be bigger. Also on his tongue he will get these white lumps/bumps on it and the doctor said that he can cause pain and bleed, which they do, He said to treat those that they take a razor and skim them off which will cause scars so that they will not grow back. He also said that if he gets sick or anything like that, that it can cause his tongue to swell more, which can inhibit his breathing and eating and so forth. So to be careful about that! He said that it is something we need to watch cause he snores and that means that is can cause breathing problems. He also was very sure that we knew that Painter is more of a minor case and that there are way worse out there, which is Wonderful to hear!! So ... we go back down on the 5Th of March, next Thursday for an MRI to find out what we are dealing with as far as size and if there are more internal ones in his head and throat. And then the doctor wants to see him again in 6 months and then we will do visits from there on out.
I need to say that as much worry as goes in to your children it is also a blessing to have some where to go and get answers and what a blessing it is to have people who can tell you what to do and where to go from there!
We are so Blessed that it is not as bad as some! Sure there are tons of worries that I have for him! Will it swell more like they say it can? Will more people say rude things about it? Will the kids at school be mean and tease him( which they will and the momma bear will come out!)? Will girls look at him different? Will he feel insecure about it? All i know is that we are lucky to have such a cute fun kid and that we will love him no matter what! He really is such a perfect child to us. I am SO glad to finally know what we are dealing with and that is really is a minor case!

Well after an eventful morning at the doctors with our crazy little Painter we finally got reassured that everything with the baby is good to go and that its healthy so far! What a reassurance modern technology is!

Just as a note I want to say that I love being right! I knew what is was!

This one it is sucking its thumb! In the video( which i dont know how to upload) it was talking and moving around, it looked like it was driving race cars! The doctors were laughing!

Its a good thing it is a girl cause I already have bought lots of little girl clothes and I have made some blankets! hee hee! I am so excited and Clark is happy to get his daddys girl! Painter still is trying to figure out what in the world we are talking about!

So I know that it has been forever since I have actually posted something! Well I have tons of pictures and I will admit that I am just being Way to Lazy to download them all! Just for your info Christmas was great, we learned that sometimes serving makes the holidays better! New Years was also all sorts of fun! Painter is still growing like a weed, and still has that crazy, so called "rash" on his body! Oh well someday he might look normal again! Clark is still working hard, but has had some time off which has been night to hang out with him!!! As for the pregnancy it is great! I joke about how I forget that I am prego cause I feel great! Other than being tired! We find out soon what it is.. but we both think we already know! And now for a poll, we are going to get a new car seat and wanted to know what others love!? What is the best one out there that is not SUPER heavy! Well hope all is well for you and some time soon will be a fun post with pictures cause these all writen ones are boring! (hee hee)

We made a small announcement on thanksgiving to the families. Since my computer is currently out of order I have to use my moms! So here you go.... we are expecting our next little Hill baby! My due date is June 25, which seems to be forever away! I am just over 10 weeks along! Well thats the news! Painter still cant figure out where the baby is, Clark tells him it is in my belly and he looks all around me and cant see it and just looks confused! Its funny!

Well... I though I was close to perfect but I guess not! hee hee

1-When I get into bed Clark has to stand by the light and not turn it off until I say that I am ready because I have to have the sheets PERFECT! no wrinkles allowed! Then I fold down his side, he turns the light off and then covers up and I make the blankets perfect for him to!

2- I love the smell of Painters slobbery cheeks! Weird huh I know! I could sit and smell them all day!

3- When I eat a kit kat I eat off all the chocolate and then eat it layer by layer! I never just take a bite! Gross! Same with string cheese I never just bite it I have to Peel it!

4- My nose is super sensitive and I can smell anything! Good and bad! It is kinda annoying! I am always sniffing around trying to figure out what "that" smell is. And then when I am pregnant it is a million times stronger. Drive me NUTS!

5- I hate yard work, gives me allergies, too many bugs which terrify me and too sweaty! But I do love to camp and four wheeler and dirk bike and go to work with Clark. I don't get it, they are both outside!

6-I think I am a wonderful singer! I am constantly singing some made up song to Paint and Clark! I sing super loud in the car! I sing along with TV commercials and pretty much anything with a tune!

Just wanted to list something that I am so Thankful for!

1- A husband that is amazing! He always gets up Way before the sun and comes home after it is back down! He spoils me and loves me way more than I probably deserve!

2- Painter.. what a goofy, loving, crazy, active, giggly, all boy little guy! He has taugh me so much about myself and about life!

3- Cold Cereal and brownies cause it is what I live on! Yum-O

4- Family that I know I can always turn to! Life would be Boring without them!!

5- My blanket! I have had it since I was born and even though it is see through now it has to be with me at night!

6- Friends... I am lucky to have some friends that are wonderful! I know I can call them for anything and that they will never judge me and always laugh with me!

7- Toilet paper cause Clark uses it to kill all the gross creepy crawly things that get in my house! It also comes in nice for other things too!

8- For all the other things that I could go on about... there are way to many, but I am blessed and am thankful for that!

August & September Update

Well this last little while seems like it has been busy with alot of little silly things. So here is a brief update!
My mom, Amber, Tanner, Painter and me went to feed the billion ducks at the duck park!

We went to the fair with Todd, Jen, and Ash! Ate some great fair food, saw some animals, and saw alot of rain! I love the fair and would go everyday if my hubby would let me!

We got a new mattress and Painter was the first to get to enjoy it fully!

Painter got to eat his 1st corn in the cob and loved it!

Irven finally got married to Mindy who we LOVE!

Painter at the reception being a little boy running all over the place!

And then we all crashed, he just got to do it before we got home! That door looks like a great pillow huh! And yes i do buckle him in properly but within 3-10 sec ( no joke) he is out of the top and thinking he is pretty dang nifty!

Also my dad was released from his Stake President calling. Elder Richard Scott was the one that came up to release him and we got to see him and spend some time with him, what an amazing man! It has been such a blessing to our family and I will miss it! Dad is a Wonderful man and we are all really, really proud of him!

Happy Anniversary

So yesturday was our 3 year anniversary! It was a great day! Clark got me flowers and I of course got him chocolates from florences...shocking! We ate at Olive Garden and then just ran arrends! I am one lucky girl! Clark is SO good to me and I love him more then words! So here is a walk down memory lane!

Vegas Baby!

So a little bit ago Me and Clark went to Vegas with Todd and Jenny! We had a blast! The boys went to an equipment auction and me and Jen spent our money where it really matters.. the mall! It was so fun but I would not go back during the summer, it was 110 - 115 degrees outside!

Fun Weekend

So this weekend we went with some of our best friends to the demolition derby! AKA- White Trash Event! It was a blast! We are really luck to have great friends that we can relate to, that are tons of fun and that are easy going!

We went with the Hills up huckleberrying this weekend and scored! We found a great patch and got quit a bit! Painter loved being up in the mountains and HAD to have this walking stick!

We had a great time, until we took the stick from painter so that we could take a picture!

Once a month me and some of the girls from beauty college get together and do lunch at different places, it is a blast! This time we went to leatherbys in IF, I thought it was really good! My sandwich was great! ( Painter, Me, Lacie, Emily,Paisley, Heather, Berek)

And the icecream is huge and that was just a normal sized one that was half eaten!

So last night we were sitting in the house and for some reason I wanted to go outside for a while instead of put Painter to bed. We took him to the swing and did that for a while and I kept getting this feeling that something was going to happen and we needed to go inside but I just brushed it off! Well Painter was walking around and started to cry and I got the sickest feeling in my guts! He kept grabing and rubbing at his face and I knew he had got stung. Right on his lip too! OUCH! So we took him in and I called the Doctor because it was swelling really bad, and I did not know if he was allergic, we hopped in the car and sped to broulims to get some benadryl! At first just his lip was big, it looked like a blister, all white and gooie looking, then it spread to his cheek and jaw. The crease that is usually between your mouth and cheek was not there he was so swollen but after we got the medicine in him it started to go down alot!

His lip stuck out so much!

After the medicine, the swelling has gone down a ton!

This morning the swelling went from his lip to his eye! It was pretty much close when he first woke up!

We are pretty luck that he was not allergic or that it did not get his tongue because the sting was less than and inch from his tonuge and he already has tongue problems and it would have swollen like his face and he would have not been able to breath! But we are counting out blessing and we are lucky! It was quite the night!

A day at the Zoo

So for those of you who dont know I am an acupunture junkie! I owe my life to it! It is one of the most amazing things I have ever done! It works wonders! ( if you have questions ask me, and no it does Not hurt) So I got Clark to go with me and it was funny cause he got one in his head, some in his arms and some in his legs and feet!

So on Monday evening we went to get sod for just the front section of the Yard! YIPPY!

It was 8 palats it was a heavy load but we got it done with the help of Clarks family!

Of course the only section that we did not put sod in right away was under the hose bib and so of course who found the mud! P-Man!

He started to gag like he was going to throw up right after this picture cause his mouth was so full of mud, so i quit taking pics and ran him to the hose and sprayed him off! Then it was bath time and the party ended!

Now our front yard looks pretty dang good! So now when and if we ever have people over we will have some grass to play on! YES!!

Clark is absolutely amazing! What a loving giving person! He is such a hard worker, he does consturction all day and then comes home and does tons of yard work and helps me out with anything that i need! He is so dang good with Painter, they are best buds! So we kindof slept through church so we decided to go for a drive, so I jumped into the shower and when i got out clark and p-man had made bacon, eggs, pancakes, and OJ! It was fabulous! so anyways... we went up through kelly canyon and then through the mountains and ended up on the otherside and at our farm! It is the most georgeous place right now! The first picture is the road down to the meadow and creek, then its us by the old outhouse that scared the crap out of me! It remindes me of something off of a scary movie! Then its both us us by the creek that runs through the farm, and then the cool cabin that they started to build but then quit.. which is a long story in itself, and if you notice there is a cool shack that they got that still has the sign of what it sold, such as coffee, icecream, donuts and so on! Now its just full of junk. But this is one of my most favorite places to go! Its heaven on earth!! hee hee!
